Conclave 2019 Review

April 26th – April 28th

Conclave this year was held at Camp Roy C. Manchester in Benton, Kentucky. We had a great time while we were there and had a special guest visit as well. The special guest was the Area 6 venturing President Karen Turnmire. She taught classes about how to start a Venturing crew and how crews and the OA can work together.

Some of the training that occurred included advanced knot tying, wilderness first aid, and OA High Adventure.

The ceremonies team were competing in the brotherhood, ordeal, and vigil ceremonies while the training was happening. They did so well that we took the traveling ceremonies trophy home yet again this year.

After lunch, we took part in the Quest games which were competitions between lodges. We won two competitions which were the Brown Bag Special and the Mush Race. For our victories in the two competitions we took home the Quest Trophy as well. If you wish to see these trophies, they will be located at the Scout office on Lee Highway.

We also elected or Section officers while we were at the closing campfire. Our 2019-2020 section officers are Ben Daniels (Section Chief), John Wayne (Section Vice Chief), and Anthony Philips (Section Secretary).

Finally, we would like to congratulate Joel Hunt and Amanda Smith on receiving the Silver Turtle for the continued dedication and services to the lodge and section. It was a great event and we hope to see more Arrowmen attend next year.
